About Geoff

Geoff Brace is a Lehigh County native. Lehigh County is where he grew up and where he will raise his family. Many people like Geoff and his wife, Sara, a Northern Lehigh graduate, are in it for the long run. They own their home. They are invested in the future of the Lehigh Valley.

Geoff is currently the Executive Director of the Kutztown Community Partnership, a non-profit organization based in Kutztown, PA. His responsibilities include the ongoing economic revitalization of Downtown Kutztown. On a daily basis, Geoff works directly with small business owners, elected officials, borough staff and residents who volunteer to improve Kutztown.

Geoff has an in-depth understanding of the challenges facing Lehigh County's communities. Geoff was born on the West End of Allentown and raised in North Whitehall Township. As a teenager, his first job was mowing lawns by renting his Dad's lawnmower. He also worked on a farm, mentored inner-city youth and directed community revitalization efforts in Alburtis, Coopersburg and Macungie. While working for the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, Geoff provided critical assistance to the cities of Allentown and Bethlehem and the borough of Emmaus. Rural, suburban, small town or larger city, Geoff understands Lehigh County's communities.

Geoff and his wife, Sara, live in Center City Allentown where they own an historic fixer-upper. Having met at St. John's UCC in Laurys Station, Sara and Geoff were married at Zion Reformed UCC in Allentown in May 2011 where they are members.

In the community, Geoff has a long record of involvement. He is a member of the Allentown Zoning Hearing Board and has served on the board of the Old Allentown Preservation Association. This fall, Geoff and Sara will open their home to the Old Allentown Preservation Association Fall House Tour.

Additionally, Geoff serves as a member of the executive committee on the UCC's Board for Justice and Witness Ministries and is the assistant moderator (Vice President) for the Penn Northeast Conference of the UCC. Geoff and Sara are both members of the Allentown YMCA and have served on church council for St. John's UCC in Laurys Station.
